I probably started thinking about my baby girls first birthday party when she turned about 6 months old! Now that doesn’t mean I started planning it than (contrary to what my husband thinks) but I started throwing ideas around and I kept coming back to the idea of Bohemian but with lots of wood and natural elements in it as well. So I came up with a Bohemian Woodland theme and than I had to start planning. Colours, menu, flowers, gifts…. the list was endless what needed to be done so once the list was made it was just a matter getting to work scratching things off! The colour palette I chose was blush pink, coral, gold and white! (All eyes are probably rolling thinking of course she went with those colours but there is more to it than just the fact I like the colours) I needed to get a hold of a few key elements – a tent, dreamcatcher, flowers and lots of yummy food! I started my research and ended up working with the most amazing shops to put together what I think was the cutest first birthday party! My dad always teases me that I put too much work and effort into the parties I through but the truth is I just love doing it I just don’t always have the budget to go with my dreams and ideas! The best part of a lot of the items I used as decor at her party is that I can now incorporate them into her bedroom decor. A special thank you to all our friends and family as special those of you who drove from far and wide to be with us to celebrate our special girl! And a BIG thank you to all the shops that I had the pleasure of working with – without you all this party wouldn’t have been what it was so THANK YOU!
PS her floral crown was a labour of her mommy’s and auntie’s love. We may have stayed up way too late the night before trying to figure out how to make one even with Pinterest’s help we struggled and we weren’t even drinking wine but I am happy with how it turned out not perfect but definitely made with love.
