Happy April Fools Day! Happy first Day of April! April is a big month for our family, it is moving month plus it is also vacation month!! So much to look forward to but I still can’t believe April is already here! I am hoping that April will bring with it some nice, warm weather!

 

Since you all know that I love to shop it is no surprise that I love to shop for my babies as well. When I am shopping for myself, my husband or my babies I am always looking for items that are trendy, fashionable, cute, comfy, good quality and available at a good price point! Sure I have expensive taste but my money tree doesn’t grow as fast as I would like it to so I have to spend my money on good quality and things that will last. When shopping for kids, quality is always a must since they tend to be harder on their things then adults usually are. When my son was born the struggle to find cute, trendy things was harder than it was with my daughter, especially when it came to footwear. My babies have opposite footwear problems. My daughter has long, slender feet and my baby boy has the chubbiest, cutest, round feet. He had so many cute pairs of high tops that his little rolly, polly feet just couldn’t get into. I then started looking at purchasing him a pair of Moccasins since they were trending and they seemed to be easy to slip on his feet.

There are many different brands out there so where do you even start? I started looking at “locally” made moccasins – made in North America. Then I started looking a reviews, price and of course selection. It wasn’t long till I saw the brand Freshly Picked popping up on my screen. After taking a look at their user friendly website I was impressed with what I saw and I knew I had to purchase a pair. After placing my order I couldn’t believe how quickly my moccasins arrived in the mail. Once I had them in my hand I could’t wait to put them to the test and see if they would indeed fit my little mans feet and how they would wear. I couldn’t get over the quality of the leather and the richness of the colour. At the time my little man was just learning to walk so he mostly wore them indoors and I was happy with the traction they gave him on our hardwood floors. They fit his little feet like a glove no struggling to get them on his feet and they looked super cute on him. I had purchased the size bigger since he wasn’t a full walker at the time and I wanted them to last him awhile and he still had no trouble walking in them or keeping them on his feet even though they were a bit big. Within the next couple months my baby was a full time walker which meant wearing his FP’s outside. I will admit I was apprehensive how they would wear on the cement and in the natural elements but I am happy to report they held up just like any pair of shoes would. He could run and play just like normal in them and they didn’t show signs of wear and tear. When I purchased my first pair of moccasins I stuck with a classic colour – ebony (black)  but after I was so impressed with them I knew he needed more, so I went with a fun, bright colour – neon green and they really are neon and super bright and so fun to wear. We get many comments on them and I am glad I purchased them for him. One of the things I love about Freshly Picked is that my daughter can also wear them and they fit her feet as well. FP has moccasins from infant size right up to large sizes.
