With the fall weather already happening it is perfect time to get out my fall decor and to start shopping for a few new pieces to add to my decor this year. Pumpkins, dark rich colours, neutral wood textures are sorta of what we think of when it comes to fall decorating.  Autumn is also a beautiful time of year for all of the gorgeous nature around us and you can utilize that when you are decorating your house for fall. From pumpkins to leaves and branches and beautiful potted mums, there are lots of was to decorate with nature all around us.  Don’t forget when decorating a little goes a long way from your adding gourds and pumpkins to your kitchen, porch or styling your couch and chairs with cozy throws. Use strategic fall accessories to bring elegance to each room. An inexpensive way to decorate your dinning room table is to use placemats, table runners and napkins in the rich fall palette. This will give your table a natural glow. Candles are also another inexpensive way to add a special touch and warmth to your space. Swap out your summer pillars and taper candles for fall coloured ones. Be creative with your decorating. Buy some fake pumpkins because they last longer and are less work but also add some real ones. Think outside the box try painting your pumpkins to match your styling colours or do some fancy design on them. I know this time of year can be busy for some so don’t feel like you have to compete with Christmas decorating in your fall styling, but make time to add some fall touches to your living space. Life is too short and if we don’t slow down and reflect on all we have to be thankful for especially at this time of year we will greatly miss out.
